Kelly Ripa Looks Unrecognizable as Tammy Faye Bakker for ‘Live’ Special

Kelly Ripa definitely understood the assignment.

Yesterday, the official Live with Kelly and Ryan Instagram account shared a short teaser from its After Oscar Show, which is set to premiere on March 28.

In the clip, Ripa completely transformed into Tammy Faye Bakker, a role played brilliantly by Jessica Chastain in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. The talk show host rocked the signature makeup look with a cheetah print shirt and long purple fingernails.

The video starts with someone asking her if she wants some lipstick remover, to which Ripa responds, “Oh no, that's it! I mean, they’re permanently lined! And my eyes are permanently lined. My eyebrows are permanently on. So, there's not a whole lot you can do!”

Viewers were completely blown away by the stunning transformation. “OMG you look just like her,” one person said in the comments section. Another added, “Nailed it!!”

This is just one of many looks Ripa has done for the Oscars-themed show. Just last week, she turned into Lady Gaga’s character from House of Gucci (which is also nominated for an Oscar this year).

In the IG video, Ripa is shown sporting a similar ensemble to Patrizia Reggiani, rocking a pink shiny coat with a matching turtleneck sweater. She accessorized the look with a pair of pink snow goggles and a fluffy fur hat.

In a Russian accent, Ripa mocked various lines from the film. “Do we have a demitasse? I have my spoon,” she said, before cutting to another scene of her saying, “Grazie, amore.” The video ended with her saying, “I just say the words,” with multiple people laughing in the background.

We can’t wait to see more of your Oscar-inspired looks, Kelly!
