After a summer hiatus, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest are back for a whole new season of Live with Kelly and Ryan. However, rather than just kicking off the new installment with an ordinary episode, the season premiere was shot from the morning show’s Labor Day party.
Producers of the hit show shared a handful of behind-the-scenes images and clips from the episode, which aired on Monday, September 6. “Our Backyard Labor Day Party at @gelmanlive’s house!” one of the post’s captions read.
Per the caption, the get-together was filmed at Live executive producer Michael Gelman’s house in Long Island. (At one point during the episode, they even took a tour of his organic vegetable garden.) Ripa and Seacrest were also joined by entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel and actress Dove Cameron.
For the occasion, Ripa looked chic in a white midi dress from Reformation ($248), while Seacrest donned a navy-blue shirt and pants.
Fans were not disappointed with the premiere episode. In fact, followers filled the comments section with love for the special inatallment. One viewer wrote, “This show was one of the best. I love when you go on location for your shows,” while a second added, “Welcome back! Thanks for sharing your day. It's so fun to see you guys together.”
The rest of the week will feature new episodes filmed from inside the Live studio and will center around a New York theme.
