As it turns out, Katie Holmes has a secret when it comes to making time for her wellness. Drumroll please…napping!

PureWow attended the Hoka One One's "Women Who Fly Panel" last week, where Holmes served as one of the panelists. Holmes looked comfortably chic in light-wash jeans, a black blazer and a pair of white Hoka One One Gaviota Leather sneakers.

The actress discussed her personal wellness journey alongside track athlete Ce’Aira Brown and Alex Covington of the women’s advancement community The Wing.

During the panel, the 40-year-old actress opened up about snoozing daily and the impact it has on her well-being.

“Well, I’m not afraid to take a nap in the middle of the day,” she said. “I’ve sort of always done that like whenever I’m on set. I’ll take a nap at lunch. It resets me. And sometimes I just need to be quiet for 20 minutes and just think and regroup.”

Holmes also discussed other ways she tries to maintain a healthy state of mind.

“It’s hard at times, you can get really down on yourself and ask, ‘Oh gosh, do I suck?’ So I take that (quiet) time to figure it out.” We definitely know that feeling. 

Napping daily and quiet time may seem like obvious forms of self-care, but you can definitely count us in.
