‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Kate Walsh Let Slip That She’s Engaged During Recent Live Stream

Are those wedding bells we hear?

Kate Walsh, 54, may be keeping busy with her roles on Grey's Anatomy and Emily in Paris, but it turns out that she'll now have wedding planning on her plate as well.

The California native accidentally let slip that she was engaged during a recent Instagram Live stream, as reported by ABC News. While chatting with her former Private Practice co-star, Amy Brenneman, Walsh panned the camera over to her partner, Andrew Nixon, saying, “Here comes the jungle cat, that is my fiancé.”

Walsh didn't realize at first that she had spilled the secret, until Brenneman said to Nixon, “She just 100% outed your engagement.” In response, Walsh said, “I did...I just outed our engagement.”

The Grey's Anatomy star has kept the details of her relationship with Nixon hush hush, but according to E! News, the couple first met on a cruise right before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and they have been together ever since.

Unlike Walsh, Nixon is not a part of the entertainment industry. In fact, he works for his family's business—Nixon Farming. The company is based in the Moora/New Norcia area of Western Australia, and on their site, they write: “Wheat, malt barley & canola are our predominant crops, and we also run merino sheep for wool and meat.”

Although Walsh was born in the U.S., it seems she was drawn to Nixon's homeland because now, the soon-to-be-wed couple live together in Perth, Australia.

Previously, the 54-year-old actress was married to 20th Century Fox executive Alex Young. The pair got divorced in February 2010.

Since their separation, the Grey's star has been romantically linked to Chris Case and Neil Andrea, according to People. But now, it looks like Walsh has found the one.

After all these years of seeing Walsh in a white coat, we know that she is going to rock that color come wedding day. Congrats to the happy couple!
