Kate Middleton Just Ditched Her Usual Bouncy Curls for a Sleeker Look

Kate Middleton is once again sharing her appreciation for frontline workers fighting against the coronavirus. And she’s showing off a new look while she's at it.

On Friday, the Duchess of Cambridge participated in a video call with nurses from the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. During the call, the 39-year-old royal (who recently celebrated her birthday), thanked the healthcare workers for their continued work through “these difficult times.”

“You hear time and time again about the amazing things nurses up and down the country are doing—going that extra mile," Middleton said in the clip which was shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account. “It's the things that are not part of the training but the things that come from your heart, and I think that's what matters so much now: these acts of kindness to the patients you're looking after.”

And while it took us a minute to notice, we realized that the mother of three had ditched her usual curly blowout for a straight hair look. And we kind of love it. The duchess also opted for a more sophisticated ensemble for the call. Rather than her usual bright and flowy dresses, she opted for a white button-up with a black blazer.

The conference was likely recorded from Prince William and Middleton’s country home in Norfolk, where they have remained for the majority of lockdown. Behind Middleton, we get a glimpse of her chic decor, including beige walls, large plants and a handful of family photos.

We’ll definitely be taking a page out of Kate’s style book for our next Zoom meeting.
