Kate Middleton and Prince William going on a royal tour of Pakistan is a momentous occasion for many reasons. (After all, it’s been 13 years since any member of the royal clan has made the trip.) But it’s also making waves because of...the fashion.
Let’s take Kate’s latest look, for example: An embroidered cloak and traditional Chitrali hat—both gifted to her upon arrival in the country’s northern region—worn over a leather vest, brown shirt and belted skirt.
A stand-out ensemble for sure, but what caught our eye immediately was her royal repeat: The Duchess also wore slouchy brown suede boots, a pair that we last saw in 2016 at an event to honor the British Cub Scouts.
They were a favorite then and they’re still a favorite now, but alas, the original style—from Spanish brand Really Wild and retailing for $467, according to Footwear News—seems to be sold out.
Good thing we found a nearly identical style available for half the price. Made by Blondo and available in chocolate brown, the color and slouch look nearly the same. They’ve also got a low heel—just a touch higher than Kate’s.
And the best part? The cost. The Blondo pair retails for just $202—that’s less than half the cost of those originally worn by Kate.
Duchess style on a budget. The best.
