Kate Middleton’s Favorite Emojis Are...Not What We Expected

While we love the British royal family for being regal, sophisticated, noble and resplendent, we sometimes forget that they are just like us in many ways. They homeschool their children, take care of pets, Zoom with their family members and, as we’ve recently learned, frequently use emojis

Last week, the Duchess of Cambridge posted a message inviting followers to ask questions that coincide with her latest project, 5 Big Questions on the Under Fives, a survey that aims to spark conversation on early childhood and asks everyone to weigh in on raising the next generation. A few days later, the 38-year-old royal answered those questions in a candid video. “I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in their questions,” she said in the clip. “There are a huge number here with loads of wonderful emojis attached to them.”

At one point, she revealed her phone screen to the audience (just for a quick sec). And while we may not have been forward thinking enough to have paused the video to zoom in, others did just that and revealed what they believe to be her (or whoever’s phone it is) most-used emojis at the bottom of the screen.

So, what emojis made the frequently used list? As Town & Country pointed out, it wasn’t a crown, queen or heart. Instead, they included a red swearing face and alien invader (among others that were more difficult to make out).

We officially have tons of questions.
