How to Be a Duchess 101: Kate Middleton Watched Videos of This Royal for Her Princess Training

Duchess school is in session, and the first thing on the royal to-do list: Watch videos of Princess Diana. (Seriously, where do we sign up?!)

That's exactly what Kate Middleton reportedly had to do during her royal training lessons, according to royal biographer Kate Nicholl.

In her book Kate: The Future Queen, Nicholl revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, was asked to watch footage of her late mother-in-law in order to pick up tips about how to deal with all the media attention.

"Bizarrely, she had been advised to watch footage of the late Princess of Wales in order to learn how to deal with the paparazzi, notorious for being aggressive in their pursuit of a picture, taunting their prey in order to get a response," Nicholl wrote, according to Marie Claire. "At the Palace, there was a concerted effort not to allow Kate to be exposed to the same ruthless treatment."

While Middleton may have learned her diplomacy and poise in the face of the paparazzi from Diana videos, Meghan Markle was already a pro at public appearances from her acting days.

But Markle has more recently come under the same sort of intense scrutiny that's been compared to the tragic treatment of Diana, which led actor and close friend of the Sussexes George Clooney to speak out on her behalf back in February of this year.

So, sleepover at Buckingham? Kate and Megs, you bring the Princess Diana videos (and baby Archie pics). We'll bring the popcorn.
