Jennifer Lopez Recreates ‘Love Don't Cost a Thing’ on IG & It Already Has 9.5 Million Views

It's been two decades since Jennifer Lopez blessed us all with her iconic music video for "Love Don't Cost a Thing." And now, she's still got it.

The 51-year-old songstress treated fans to an epic recreation of the 2001 video on Instagram, and of course, the video already has more than nine million views. Lopez wrote, "Happy 20th Anniversary to my 2nd album J.Lo!!!! Had a little fun at a recent shoot. #Throwback #LoveDontCostAThing #JLO20thAnniversary #LoveDontCostAThingChallenge @jlobeauty #JLOBeauty."

In the video, J.Lo struts along the shoreline as she removes her coat, her sunglasses and her bracelet. If you recall the original music video, a devastated Lopez walks down an empty road in Miami and discards the same items after learning that her love interest wouldn't be gracing her with his presence.

The actress sports the exact same hairstyle and, as many fans noticed, she looks like she hasn't aged a single day. Think we're exaggerating? Take a look at her follow-up post and see for yourselves.

Lopez shared a number of images from the photoshoot and wrote, "As I reflect on the fact that it’s the #JLo20thAnniversary, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being with me, loving me and supporting me through all the ups and downs. Thank you so much for all the love over the past 20 years!! I love you so much!!"

In response, one fan wrote, "You still look 20. Can I know your secret?" Another said, "Thank you for creating the way you do for all of life’s journeys! That’s such a gift to everyone. 20 years WOW!!!! You look only 20!"

In addition to posting on Instagram, Lopez also encouraged fans to participate in a #LoveDontCostAThingChallenge on Twitter. Several fans were all too eager to send in their renditions, though others felt that encouraging this challenge during a pandemic wasn't the wisest decision. One fan tweeted, "You want us all to rush to the beach in a pan de queso to have our friends film us throwing away good jewelry? I’m so confused."

Still, despite the mixed reactions, fans would agree that J.Lo totally nailed her recreation. Here's hoping she'll follow suit for the anniversary of "I'm Real."
