Jennifer Garner isn’t afraid to admit that she still commits mom fails from time to time.
The 49-year-old actress appeared on a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden alongside fellow guest Greg Kinnear. In addition to their celebrity status, the two actors have something else in common: Their children play sports together. While Garner has three kids—Violet (16), Seraphina (13) and Samuel (10)—Kinnear has three daughters, Lily (18), Audrey (15) and Kate (12).
During the episode, Garner recalls an embarrassing story from when she accidentally hit “reply all” to an email chain that Kinnear happened to be on. The actress meant to send a funny message to the coach, but instead, she sent it to the entire team.
“So, we have kids who do the same activity,” she explains. “And I emailed the coach one weekend, kind of being funny about my kid and saying, ‘Well, this one seems to be getting a little womped this weekend. So, what does that mean for tomorrow morning because we have something planned? What does that mean typically?’”
She continues, “And I was being funny, I thought I was being funny.”
It didn’t take long for Garner to realize that she didn’t check the recipients. “Turns out it’s the one time in my life I replied all,” she says. “I replied to everyone on the team, to every parent, including you and Helen [Labdon].”
Kinnear laughs before jokingly adding, “I do remember this. I remember thinking, ‘Jennifer Garner is a raging lunatic.’ Sweet enough, but I had no idea.”
