This Matt Damon Flick Just Hit Netflix's Top 10 List

We’ll be honest—there’s nothing we love more than a good old Matt Damon action flick. So, when we saw that his movie Green Zone is currently ranking on Netflix’s top ten list, we had to check it out.

The war thriller, which is based on the book Imperial Life in the Emerald City by Rajiv Chandrasekaran, hit the streaming platform on Saturday, May 1, and has already landed the third spot on the most popular movie list. Originally released in 2010, the war thriller depicts the harrowing life within the Green Zone of Baghdad.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “A U.S. Army officer uncovers a conspiracy about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, launching a crusade that creates enemies within his own military.”

Directed by Paul Greengrass and written by Brian Helgeland, Green Zone also stars Jason Isaacs (The Patriot), Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine), Igal Naor (The Honorable Woman), Said Faraj (Ghost), Nicoye Banks (12 Years a Slave), Jerry Della Salla (For Love of a Fish), Sean Huze (The Next Three Days) and Aymen Hamdouchi (War Machine).

Unfortunately, the flick only received an average score of 53 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 57 percent. However, based on the fact that it’s become one of the most-watched movies on the platform in just three days, we definitely think it's worth a shot.
