Jennifer Aniston is honoring her longtime hairstylist and friend, Chris McMillan, with a never-before-seen photo from the set of Friends.
Over the weekend, the 50-year-old actress celebrated McMillan’s birthday by sharing a slideshow of pics on Instagram.
The first photo is what originally caught our attention—and not just because it features Aniston posing with McMillan in what appears to be her Friends dressing room. The actress is sporting an ensemble that screams ’90s: bold blush, chunky hoop earrings and insanely teased hair (including bangs!).
The second pic shows a current snap of Aniston and McMillan, and my, how times have changed.
“Happy Birthday, Chrissy,” she captioned the post. “We’ve come a long way, baby.”
Aniston originally rose to stardom back in 1994 when she appeared as Rachel Green on Friends. Viewers immediately fell in love with the character and her signature haircut, which—according to Aniston—wasn’t easy to style without McMillan’s assistance.
“I got that haircut and was like, ‘Wow this is amazing,’ and then I was totally left with this frizzy mop on my head, because I had no idea how to do what he did,” she said, according to People. “Nobody seems to know how to do what Chris does. And I figured out that’s called creating job security.”
Guess Aniston’s hair is like a fine wine: It only gets better with age.
