She’s baaack…Ina Garten, that is. OK, the chambray-clad queen never really went away, but we hear our kitchen muse and personal guiding light (kidding, kind of) is hard at work on yet another cookbook—and our info came straight from the contessa’s mouth.
Here’s how we know: Yesterday, Garten posted an Instagram of a salad—totally normal; she does this all the time. The real juicy details were in the caption, which read, “Having fun working on my next cookbook! Broccoli & Kale Salad isn’t bad at all!”
Hear that? Having fun working on my next cookbook. That will bring her cookbook collection to a total of 12. 12! You’ll recall that her most recent release, Cook Like a Pro, came out last October. And she just launched a new season of her Food Network show. So basically, the woman never stops.
Garten, 71, published her first cookbook way back in 1999, based on the success of her specialty food store in West Hampton, New York. That was before she was a household name with a hit cooking show and a devoted following. The rest, as they say, is history.
We wonder what this next volume will be about. Cooking in Chambray? Cooking Not for Jeffrey? From the looks of that jammy egg-topped salad, it might be called Cooking for the ’Gram. Just a thought.
We don’t have any other details (yet), but we’ll be on the lookout. In any event, you know our name will be at the top of the pre-order list when that cover drops. It’s Ina, after all. She’s worth it.
