Good news…or best news? The Barefoot Contessa is coming back for another round—and soon.
Season 16 (yes, really) of chambray queen Ina Garten’s Food Network show will return in April, continuing the Cook Like a Pro theme from last year. A spinoff of her most recent cookbook, it’s all about learning the tips, tricks and techniques that Ina uses to cook like a professional. (As if she needs tips and tricks, the minx.)
According to Food Network, the first episode, “Farm Stand,” will follow Ina as she makes a farm-to-table spring feast inspired by a trip to the farmers market. On the menu is rosemary rack of lamb with easy tzatziki; Parmesan-roasted zucchini; fresh corn pancakes; and a Tuscan tomato and bread salad with red-wine vinaigrette. For dessert, Ina’s whipping up an effortless combination of fresh berries and sweet ricotta with raspberry and blackberry sauce.
Thanks to a recent sneak-peek Instagram from the contessa herself, we had a feeling this was in the works. And we’re plenty excited for the food…but we’ve also got our fingers crossed for casual appearances from hubby Jeffrey and the rest of the gang. Will Ina name-drop her celebrity friends? Will she reassure us that store-bought is, in fact, fine?
