Ina Garten shared a very special birthday message to her friend, Taylor Swift, over the weekend.
The Lover singer turned 30 years old on Friday, December, 13 and spent her big day performing at Z100's Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. She followed up the concert with a celeb-packed party (think Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid and Antoni Porowski).
And while the Barefoot Contessa wasn’t in attendance at the NYC bash, she shared a sweet Instagram tribute to Swift on her personal account.
“Happy birthday @taylorswift !! You’re a beacon of light for women of all generations, including me! What a brilliant speech at the Billboard awards. Congratulations!” she captioned the throwback pic of herself and Swift.
So, how exactly did these two become friends? Well, according to Garten, the pair have long been fans of one another. In a 2018 interview with the Huffington Post, the chef revealed that she and the pop star have bonded over a wide range of topics, including boyfriends, businesses, friends and life.
“She’s very smart and very interesting and she loves her friends,” Garten said. “She is wise beyond her years, to say the least.”
Swift and Garten also worked together for Food Networks Magazine as part of the publication's Food Network chefs and their music friends feature.
First Jennifer Garner, now Taylor Swift? The Barefoot Contessa has quite the list of celeb BFFs.
