Listen Up! You Can Now Order Your Free At-Home COVID Tests. Here’s How

how to order free covid tests

This just in: You can now order free at-home COVID-19 tests.

To claim your tests, all you need to do is visit this USPS website and fill out the form with your contact information (i.e., first name, last name, email address) and your shipping address (street address, city, state).

Once the form is completed, click on the “Check Out Now” button on the right side of the screen. Although it will display a dollar amount, the grand total should equal $0 once the checkout process is finished.

It’s important to note that there’s a limit of one order per residential address. However, each kit comes with four individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests. The tests will start shipping in late January, so please be patient and expect slight delays.

According to CNN, the federal government is currently developing a supplementary hotline, where U.S. residents can request at-home COVID-19 tests. However, there’s no official launch date (at least not yet).

The initiative is in response to the rise of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. Although at-home tests are sold in pharmacies and drug stores, there was a massive shortage during the holidays. Plus, N95 masks were hard to find. This development will hopefully make testing more accessible and everyday life a little safer.

If you need us, we’ll be spreading the word.
