Looks like the Duff/Koma household had a big day over the weekend. Hilary Duff finally showed her daughter, Banks Violet Blair, and son, Luca Cruz Comrie, The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Duff’s partner, Matthew Koma, shared an Instagram story on Sunday afternoon, featuring the 32-year-old and her kids watching the movie. More specifically, that famed opening scene showing Lizzie singing into her hairbrush while getting ready for her middle-school graduation. Talk about an epic viewing party.

News broke in August that the hit show was getting a reboot, with Duff reprising her iconic 2000s role. However, the new show will follow a 30-something version of the former high schooler, living in NYC as an interior decorator’s apprentice. Wow.

The show may also feature some old familiar faces such as Lizzie’s BFFs, Miranda (Lalaine) and Gordo (Adam Lamberg). Unfortunately for us, Duff admitted that although she’s engaged in the new reboot, the “sneaky little brown-noser with a hidden agenda” is not the lucky fiancé.

The Lizzie McGuire reboot will air on Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, which launches this November. And even though we don’t have an official air date for the first episode, we’re happy to see that Lizzie herself is already preparing her kids in the best way.
