Hannah Brown Appeared on Last Night’s Episode of ‘BiP’…But It’s Not What You Think

ICYMI: Former Bachelorette Hannah Brown crashed last night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise. While we originally thought she was there to win back Mike Johnson, it turns out her visit had nothing to do with her dating life and everything to do with Demi Burnett.

Here’s what you need to know: This week on the popular dating series, Brown showed up out of nowhere and demanded to speak with Demi in private. Her surprise appearance came just one week after Demi told Derek Peth that she had been dating a woman named Kristian prior to coming on the show.

In a conversation with producers, Brown revealed that she’s aware of Demi’s situation and wanted to “make sure that my friend is OK.”

“I’m so excited to be in Mexico, but I do have a purpose to be here,” Brown said. “I had a conversation with Demi before she left to go to Paradise, and she let me know about her relationship with Kristian, who is a woman. I could tell that the relationship is something significant for her, but she still decided to do this. I want to see where her head’s at with everything.”

When Brown pulled her aside, Demi confirmed that she’s been struggling to comprehend her feelings, saying, “As much time as I’m spending with [Derek], and I’m enjoying everything, I’m still thinking about Kristian a lot.”

After discussing the pros and cons, Demi decided to end things with Derek to pursue Kristian. “I owe it to him to tell him—the relationship I had back home is a lot more serious and still means a lot to me,” she said. “I don’t want to disappoint or hurt him, but it’s killing me.”

Based on the promo for tonight’s episode, it appears Kristian will be joining Demi on the beaches of Mexico, so let the games begin. (Sorry, Derek.)
