Gwen Stefani Reveals on TikTok That She Is Returning to Coach on ‘The Voice’ Alongside Husband Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton officially tied the knot on July 3, 2021, and now, almost a year later, it appears that the couple still can't get enough of each other. Although the two spend their home life together, Stefani just confirmed that they will be working together again too, as she will return to the singing competition series The Voice this coming fall.

The “Hollaback Girl” singer shared the news in a new TikTok video, which was stitched from a clip posted by Shelton. In Shelton's original video, he sings the song “Grace Kelly” by MIKA—a trending sound on the video-sharing app—and he captioned it, “#duet this if you're going to be a Coach on #TheVoice this fall.”

John Legend, who has served as a coach on The Voice every year since its 16th season, confirmed his return by making a duet of the video. Then, Legend's duet was stitched by Stefani.

Fans showed their excitement for Stefani's return in the comments, with one user writing, “I MISSED YOU GWEN.” Another added, “YAY! TEAM GWEN!”

Stefani is no stranger to The Voice. The “Sweet Escape” singer has served as a coach on five previous seasons, with the most recent airing in 2020. Meanwhile, she also served as a part-time advisor on the 8th season back in 2015. Her hubby has her beat though, given that he has been a coach on the competition series ever since it debuted back in 2011.

While an official premiere date hasn't been announced for season 22 of The Voice, we can expect that the show will begin airing at some point in mid-to-late September, which is when the fall cycle usually begins.

We'll be excitedly awaiting Gwen's return.
