What’s Every ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Up to Next?

Although we had plenty of fair warning, the ending of Game of Thrones honestly gutted us. Lucky for us, the actors who played our favorite GoT characters aren’t going anywhere. In fact, many of them have new projects right around the corner. Here’s exactly what nine of the main GoT actors are up to next.

Kit Harington (jon Snow)

From the looks of it, the IRL Jon Snow is taking a much-deserved vacation. He voice acted in the recent animated film How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, which debuted earlier this month but has nothing official in the works aside from that. He was, however, nominated for an Emmy

Emilia Clarke (daenerys Targaryen)

You know her as the Mother of Dragons, who we’re sad to say went a little mad in the end of the series. But now prepare to see her in another light entirely. The 32-year-old actress is set to star in the upcoming rom-com Last Christmas (yep, like the Wham! song) along with Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Goulding. The movie, set to debut on November 15, was directed by Bridesmaid helmer Paul Feig and co-written by Emma Thompson. Clarke will also appear alongside Thora Birch in the crime thriller Above Suspicion, which hits theaters at some point this year.

Sophie Turner (sansa Stark)

In addition to getting married (twice), Turner recently reprised her role as Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix and also has two dramas forthcoming. One, Broken Soldier, centers on a war veteran who’s struggling with PTSD. Details about her other upcoming film, Heavy, have yet to be released, but we bet it’ll be good.

Maisie Williams (arya Stark)

Like her Mophie counterpart, Williams is entering the superhero realm with The New Mutant. The movie is an X-Men spin-off that introduces a young mutant named Wolfsbane who has powers similar to werewolves. Inevitably, things get hairy (sorry, had to). She also stars in The Owners, a ’90s thriller based on the comic book of the same name, and an upcoming comedy called Two Weeks to LiveOutside of the realm of movies and TV, Williams also recently launched the Daisie App, which aims to bring creatives together.

Peter Dinklage (tyrion Lannister)

The 50-year-old actor has a whole host of projects forthcoming. Not only did he lend his voice to the upcoming animated movies The Angry Birds Movie 2 and The Croods 2, but he also is hard at work on a crime drama called The Dwarf, two movies called The Thicket and I Care a Lot and is even attached to Last Songs of America

cersei game of thrones
HBO

Lena Headey (cersei Lannister)

Post-GoT, Headey dove right into a drama called The Flood, which also starred her former GoT costar Iain Glen (RIP Ser Jorah). The movie hit theaters in late June. Next, she’ll be starring in an animated Netlix series called The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which features several other GoT alums. She will also will appear in two very fun sounding movies in 2020: Gunpowder Milkshake and Crooks.

HBO

Nikolaj Coster-waldau (jaime Lannister)

Like his fellow Lannisters, Coster-Waldau has more than a few irons in the fire, the first of which is a crime thriller called Domino that also happens to star Game of Thrones’ own Melisandre (aka Carice van Houten). Following Domino, Coster-Waldau is set to star in Suicide Tourist, which sounds like a bit of a downer, as well as the crime-thriller The Silencing and something called Notat, from director Ole Christian Madsen.

brienne of tarth standing watch
HBO

Gwendoline Christie (ser Brienne Of Tarth)

Despite her season eight breakup with Jaime Lannister, Ser Brienne is thriving. Not only is the 40-year-old actress set to star in The Friend, a drama about a couple who learns the wife is terminally ill, and The Personal History of David Copperfield, but she’s also doing a live production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

bran game of thrones season 8
HBO

Isaac Hempstead Wright (bran Stark)

Contrary to popular belief, the former Bran (aka Three Eyed Raven) isn’t too busy ruling the Seven Kingdoms to sign on to new roles. Not only is he confirmed for a new sci-fi thriller called Voyagers, which stars Colin Farrell, but also a heist film called Blue Mauritius

Suffice it to say, we’ll be watching all of these movies and TV shows when they come out. It’s what Jon Snow would want.
