Fans Can Keep ‘Game of Thrones’ Alive with This One-Time-Only ‘GoT’-Themed Cruise

game of thrones cruise through croatia

It's been ten long years since HBO blessed us with the very first episode of Game of Thrones and, to be honest, a lot of fans are having a tough time letting go (especially after that, um, less than satisfactory final season). And while we do still have the last two books from the seven-part series to look forward to as well as a prequel television show, there is another way for the GoT-obsessed to get their Westeros fix. Cruise Croatia has announced Game of Thrones themed cruise that will tour some of the most prominent filming locations from the series. The catch? It's a one-time-only voyage.

The seven-day tour will make stops at various locations around Croatia that served as the filming spots for Qarth, Braavos, the Riverlands and King's Landing (not including Dany and Drogon's destructive rampage of that city; that took place on a studio lot). In addition to day-trips to Krka Waterfalls and the island of Hvar, and a bike tour of the Mljet National Par, Croatia's top GoT expert will lead guided tours packed with insider information about the filming process. The epic adventure will conclude with a farewell party in King's Landing which will undoubtable be infinitely better than the going-away party Dany threw for Cersei.

If all this sounds too good to be true, well, it might be. There are only 38 spots available on board the ship and the cost is $1,895 per person, not including flights. However, Cruise Croatia is holding a contest to give away four spots, as well as airfare to Croatia, to one lucky winner and three of their friends. All you need to do to enter is fill out the entry form with a bit of personal information and a brief essay describing which characters from the books/show you and your friends are most like. For reference, I am definitely Meera Reed (scrappy, adventurous and willing to lug you all around town if you get turned into a paralyzed Three Eyed Raven too drunk). You know, in case you're looking for a third friend to tag along...
