Gabrielle Union tirelessly shows off her best fashion on Instagram, whether she's walking red carpets or simply lounging in her living room. So, in order to keep that stylish sensibility alive, the Cheaper by the Dozen actress recently shot a series of photos along the beach to show off a dress from her collection at NY & Company. However, this seaside photoshoot quickly came to a halt when Union was met with an unexpected surprise.

While posing in the sand for a snap, an incoming wave rolled up on Union's feet, and the 49-year-old star shared a video to Instagram that perfectly captures her shock. In the clip (which Union soundtracked with Céline Dion's “My Heart Will Go On”), we see the star arch her back and close her eyes, unaware of the incoming water until it hits her feet. Then, the music stops with a record scratch, and we see a tiny smirk appear on her face. “Not a f*cking heads up from not a-one of you,” Union jokingly says as the video cuts off.

In her caption, Union wrote, “Not a heads up from one! Good thing my dress was the perfect vibe & length [laughing emoji]. Shop beautiful colors with the new @nyandcompany collection out now! Link in bio.”

While Union may have been caught off guard, she still looked great as it happened. The star was seen in the Bolade colorblocked, cut-out dress (currently on sale for $105) from the Gabrielle Union collection at NY&Co. The azure and turquoise-colored design features a gathered skirt with a slit up the side, as well as a triangle-shaped cut-out right at the waistline. Union paired the gown with a set of thick, white hoop earrings.

Union's followers loved the comical vid, like photographer April Johnston, who said, “Don’t wanna kill the mood,” with a series of laughing emojis. Another user joked, “Can’t trust nobody these days.”

Gab, you still took that surprise in stride.
