If you’ve been on Twitter over the last few days you’ve probably seen Friends fans in a frenzy over a recent report that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are dating. And the rumors have gone so far, in fact, that Ross Schwimmer himself has responded. Allow us to explain.
Earlier this week, Closer reported that the pals of 20 years and co-stars were romantically involved, although the report only quoted an anonymous source. And it wasn’t long before the internet did what it does best, and filled social media with exciting Tweets and memes.
One Twitter user wrote, “JENNIFER ANISTON AND DAVID SCHWIMMER??? Please please can someone commission me to write about how much 2021 is cosplaying early 00s culture,” while another added, “Petition to have worldwide street parties if it’s confirmed that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are actually dating.” One person even broke out the bubbly, writing, “I have a good bottle of champagne on the ready! Cheers! Best news all year!”
