Jennifer Aniston Just Confirmed the ‘Friends’ Cast Has Something New in the Works

Jennifer Aniston is talking about a potential Friends reunion project. But she’s not saying much.

The 50-year-old actress stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night to promote her new series The Morning Show, which launches on Apple TV+ this Friday.

During the interview, she was asked about the possibility of a reunion for the hit sitcom Friends. “The other day on Ellen you actually made some noises that this might be happening,” Colbert said in reference to Aniston’s recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I made noises,” said Aniston. “Something is happening. Something is happening—but we don’t know what that something is.” Vague to say the least.

So while we’re not quite sure what that “something” is just yet (we’re also not convinced the cast has any idea), we’re optimistic.

However, Aniston made it clear to Ellen that the project is not a reboot. We repeat: Not. A. Reboot. “I don’t want to lead people on,” she said. Whatever it is, we’ll take what we can get and will try to remain patient in the meantime.

In the words of Colbert, “Something is better than nothing.”
