Did Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Wear Twin Tuxedos on Purpose or What?

A familiar scenario: You and your [friend, coworker, sibling, S.O., mom] end up wearing the *exact* same outfit purely by coincidence. (You got dressed first, of course.) Without any advance warning, you end up accidentally twinning. It happens to the best of us.

So when Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski hit the red carpet at last night’s 71st Writers Guild Awards, held in New York City, we were all thinking the same thing: They either didn’t consult each other on their sartorial choices…or they very much did.

The Mary Poppins Returns star, 35, is no stranger to a red carpet pantsuit. This time, she chose a tailored black jacquard blazer with slim, cigarette-style black pants, a white buttondown and oversize bow-tie. She finished the menswear-inspired look off with Mary Jane-inspired buckled heels. Meanwhile, Krasinksi, 39, looked dapper in a traditional black-tie look with a velvet twist.

We have a gut feeling that if this was any other celebrity couple, our immediate reaction would be BARF. But Blunt and Krasinski, who are normally very low-key about their relationship, pull it off pretty damn well.

And FYI, they were celebrating Krasinski's nomination for Best Original Screenplay for A Quiet Place, which he both wrote and starred in alongside his wife. While the critically acclaimed horror film didn't win the category, it's pretty safe to say these two charmed us with their twin tuxes, accidental or not.
