Drew Barrymore Just Pulled an Oprah Winfrey (and We're Not Referring to Her Talk Show)

Drew Barrymore is following in Oprah Winfrey’s footsteps once again. Almost two years after she launched her own talk show, she announced that her new magazine, Drew, is hitting shelves this week.

Per a press release, Barrymore's publication—which is available in print and online (Oprah's mag is now online only, FYI)—covers beauty, love and fun including pages filled with colorful photography and stories about what to see, where to go, products to use, recipes to make and more. (Fans can also subscribe to a newsletter to receive daily content directly to their inbox.) See the cover of the first edition below.

Barrymore revealed in a statement, “I've dreamed about creating my own magazine since I was 11 years old, wallpapering my room in pages from my favorite glossy publications. Launching this issue really makes the dream real and I can't wait to tell my younger self we did it! Our premiere issue is an artful piggybank filled with my favorite finds, recipes, destinations and tried-and-true tips from expert friends that I can't wait to share with all of you. Building this has truly been a labor of love and I am so excited for everyone to dive right in.”

The magazine is the latest of Barrymore’s ambitious endeavors, which include her talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, that debuted back in September 2020. Each episode features human-interest stories, celebrity guests, lifestyle segments and plenty of comedic moments.

First a TV show, now a magazine? All she needs now is her own television network to really embrace her inner Oprah. And we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
