Calling all anglophiles with elegant cooking aspirations. In line with the British tradition to “keep calm and carry on,” a brand-new Downton Abbey cookbook is coming. Ya know, to help you really up your stress-baking game.

The Official Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea Cookbook is hitting shelves (er, Amazon) Tuesday, April 21, and it includes everything from classic recipes for sweets and savories to instructions on how to prepare and serve the ultimate tea service.

Just imagine enjoying some English Cream Scones, toffee pudding or Battenberg Cake á la Mrs. Patmore while re-watching the entire series or enjoying an afternoon of tea sandwiches and Chocolate Florentines with a side of the Downton Abbey movie. Lady Mary would most definitely approve. Hell, you could even gather your fellow ladies of leisure quarantine on a Zoom call and host a virtual tea party. Crazier things have happened at the Abbey (like, remember when it was a hospital?!).

The cookbook also includes a foreword from Downton Abbey executive producer Gareth Neame and offers readers a glimpse into the era of Edwardian excess in the 1920s that popularized the English tradition. There’s also intel on proper attire and tearoom etiquette, like which side your cuppa should be served from. And the photos and character quotes from the series and film certainly make you feel like you’re enjoying a tea service alongside the Countess of Grantham and the rest of the crew.

You can preorder The Official Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea Cookbook now for $23 on Amazon. Sadly, there’s no stately manner included.
