The Final Season of ‘Will & Grace’ Just Cast This Mega Pop Star

Will & Grace is getting another main character. (And no, it’s not Stanley Walker.)

Demi Lovato is set to appear in the third (and final) season of the NBC revival, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The 27-year-old pop star will play Jenny, a woman who rarely lets her guard down. When she meets Will (Eric McCormack) in an “unexpected way,” she becomes friends with the lawyer and—in turn—his three close pals, Grace (Debra Messing), Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally).

While not much else is known about Lovato’s involvement, that didn’t stop her from announcing the news on her personal Instagram account.

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer shared a photo of herself sitting on the iconic living room couch and wrote, “Will & Grace & Demi.”

Lovato originally rose to fame in 2008 when she starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock alongside the Jonas Brothers: Joe, Nick and Kevin. Although it wasn’t her first acting gig (she also appeared in Barney & Friends as a child), the project eventually led her to land the lead role in Sonny with a Chance, which ran for two successful seasons.

Although she left Disney to pursue a career in music, it appears Lovato is getting back into acting. In addition to Will & Grace, she recently joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming movie Eurovision, which will star Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams.

So, will Karen befriend Jenny? Or see her as competition? Only time will tell, but all signs point to the latter. The final season of the Will & Grace revival is expected to premiere sometime in 2020.
