Charlize Theron's two daughters will always hold a special place in her heart, and she wants the world to know it.
The 45-year-old actress recently shared a touching tribute to her two daughters on National Daughters Day on Instagram. Alongside a series of never-before-seen family photos, Theron wrote, "My heart belongs to these two beautiful powerhouses. I will never be the same. Happy #NationalDaughtersDay [heart emoji]."
The post features a snap of Theron cuddling with her little girls August, 5, and Jackson, 8. The following pics also include the girls displaying their strong bond.
Fellow stars showed their love in the comments by posting heart emojis and encouraging words. Comedian Chelsea Handler wrote, "I Love all three," while actress January Jones wrote, "Awww three beauties. You’re so lucky babe."
The post comes only a few weeks after the actress shared another rare glimpse of her kids during a video call while celebrating her 45th birthday. She wrote, "My first virtual birthday party...I think my mom fell asleep 5 min in. Thank you to everyone for the bday wishes! 2020 has been a rough one but today was a bright spot for sure."
While speaking about her children in 2019, the actress explained that she's been keeping her daughters' lives out of the spotlight largely in order to protect her transgender daughter, Jackson. She revealed to the Daily Mail, "I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me at three years old and said, 'I am not a boy!'"
She continued, "Who they want to be, is not for me to decide. My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be."
