Charlize Theron is opening up about what exactly is going on between her and Bachelor star Peter Weber. The short answer? Nothing but a bit of fun.
In case you missed it, the 44-year-old actress posted a picture of herself standing next to an ad for the upcoming season of the hit dating series. The ad featured the 28-year-old Delta Air Lines pilot with the tagline, “Expect turbulence.”
“Turbulence I like,” Theron captioned the Instagram post.
Of course, Weber responded by sharing a snap of himself posing next to one of Theron’s Dior ads. “Turbulence can be fun,” he captioned his post.
At last night’s Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, the Bombshell actress was asked about the exchange and explained that Weber has not contacted her via DMs.
“No. I don't even know really what a DM is, let's be honest,” Theron told Entertainment Tonight. “Maybe yes? I don't think so. No. I think it's all in fun.”
She continued on to reveal that she’s just a huge fan. “I love the show. Look, he's like half my age—not that that should matter, but, no, he's great. I'm super excited. I love the show. I've missed it. And I'm just so glad that the show premieres in the winter when it's dark early because my kids don't know what time I send them to bed but like 5:45 pm. As soon as it's dark, [I watch The Bachelor].” Us, too.
Season 24 of The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 6 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
