‘Bridgerton’ Fans Are Freaking Out Over This Major Mistake

We’ll admit that when it comes to pointing out mistakes in our favorite TV shows, we’d consider ourselves aspiring experts. However, that doesn’t mean we catch every little faux pas that pops up on the screen. Lucky for us, we’re not the only ones who have a keen attention to detail. Bridgerton fans just spotted a major goof that we totally missed.

In the opening scene of the first episode of the Regency-set series, a handful of viewers noticed an error—a modern yellow street line drawn in the center of town. So, what exactly is the issue? Well, according to The Independent, these parking lines didn’t exist in the U.K. until 1947. Oops.

“Really enjoying Bridgerton, but with the technology available to filmmakers these days, a yellow line?” one Twitter user wrote online. However, the line wasn't the only issue. Another fan even spotted a second modern blunder, the presence of a manhole, which also did not exist during the 1800s. “Two episodes into #Bridgerton and I've so far spotted a single yellow line and a telecoms manhole cover. I didn't realize the 19th Century Brits were such pioneers...” he wrote on the social media platform alongside two photos.

And while these mistakes aren’t as bad as the Starbucks cup spotted in Game of Thrones, we still think they're worth a mention.

Nothing gets past these eagle-eyed Bridgerton fans.
