The Internet Can’t Handle How Beautiful Blue Ivy’s Voice Is on Beyoncé’s New Album

As the saying goes, the apple doesn’t fall far from the musical tree. Not surprisingly, such is the case for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 7-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

We know Blue can rap, rock Louboutins with panache and shush her parents like no one else. But when she joined her 37-year-old Grammy-winner mom on a surprise new live companion album to the Homecoming documentary, we couldn’t help but be impressed as hell.

In a track titled “Lift Every Voice and Sing – Blue’s Version” on Homecoming: The Live Album, Blue belts out the traditional hymn for her family. She has range, she has finesse, she has her mother’s genes—but is anyone necessarily surprised?

After Blue finishes, her family/fans clap proudly for her and Beyoncé can be heard saying, “Beautiful job, you sound so pretty!”

Ever the budding performer, Blue responds, “I want to do it again!” to which her mom replies, “You want to do it again? You’re like mommy, huh?”

Blue excitedly repeats, “I wanna do that again. It feels good!” And after some aww-ing, Yoncé says, “OK, go. Lift every voice and sing.”

Fans were floored by Blue’s pipes and expressed their amazement on social media. Twitter user @Wisdom_98 pointed out, “Blue Ivy is going to be something else. The seeds are planted.” We have to agree. Another fan, @JohncenaKaruchi, wrote, “Blue Ivy is the next Beyoncé.” Others just shared crying-face emojis.

You can listen to Blue Ivy following in her very talented parents’ footsteps on Spotify, iTunes and the Carters’ music-streaming service, Tidal.

If you need us, we’ll be listening to Blue on repeat.
