Big news for Blake Lively fans—the 31-year-old actress has officially signed a deal with Amazon to star in two new upcoming projects, and we’re so ready for her return to our TV screens.
The announcement was made over the weekend during Amazon’s exec session at the TCA summer press tour.
“It took a long time but we just closed a deal with Blake, we closed a first-look deal and we’re talking and developing a show,” Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, told Deadline. “It’s not ready. It’s set in New York, there’s a fashion component.” Is it us or does this sound just like Gossip Girl?
Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem likely since the confirmed reboot is coming to HBO Max, not Amazon. But still, a new series mixing Lively and fashion definitely has us excited.
New Amazon projects aside, we're also going to see Lively as the lead role in the book-turned-movie The Rhythm Section. Due to be released later this year, Lively will play Stephanie Patrick, a heroin-addicted prostitute turned assassin who loses her family in an airplane crash and seeks revenge on those responsible.
Not to mention the A Simple Favor actress is currently pregnant with her and hubby Ryan Reynold’s third child.
A new movie, two shows and a baby on the way? Looks like the soon to be mother of three seriously has her hands full.
