When Betty White passed only a couple weeks ahead of her 100th birthday, the world lost a comedy legend. With her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland, the iconic actress could always pull a riotous laugh out of her audience.
And while the world has been mourning the loss of White, social media users have been honoring her memory by digging up some of the best clips from her illustrious career. One such clip—an interview that took place between her and Joan Rivers in 1983—has resurfaced on social media, and users can't get over White's quick wit and fun rapport with Rivers.
At the time, Rivers was filling in for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, and in this episode, White was a featured guest. As the comedy star enters the stage, she immediately starts teasing Rivers for her recent cover on People magazine. “Just a little jealous are you of the old cover?” Rivers asks. To which White responds, “You would think you were the only cover girl in town. Did you know that I'm a cover girl?” She then pulls out an edition of Kennel Review, where she's posing with a German Shepherd.
