Ben & Jerry’s Now Makes Cookie Dough Bites (and They’re Incredible)

Raise your hand if you’re guilty of eating raw cookie dough. If this is you, Ben & Jerry’s just released a new product you’re going to want to get you sticky fingers on: Cookie Dough Chunks.

Literally speaking, Cookie Dough Chunks are bags full of the same edible cookie dough the Vermont-based company puts in its ice cream. Cookie dough has been B&J’s most popular flavor since its implementation in 1984.

“Fans have been asking for ‘just the chunks’ for a while now,” said Innovation Manager Jody Eley. “During a short market test in Vermont last summer, fans snatched up the dough in record time. Bags flew off the shelves in mere days and stores could not keep the delicious dough bites in stock! Now, Ben & Jerry’s is rollin’ out the dough to fans across the U.S.”

The new chunks come in three flavors: Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Vegan Chocolate Chip (for those avoiding dairy and eggs altogether). As opposed to regular cookie dough, the bites are made using pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour, making them perfectly safe to eat raw. And after sampling all three flavors, let’s just say we can never be trusted alone with a bag of these again.

You can grab a pack ($4.99) at retailers across the country as well as in Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops.
