And the Winner of ‘The Bachelorette’ Season 16 Is…

bachelorette season 16 winner

From Clare Crawley leaving the show to Tayshia Adams saving the season, The Bachelorette has brought us a whirlwind of emotions. And now (after what feels like forever), we finally have a winner: Zac!

Tonight, part two of The Bachelorette finale aired on ABC and featured the conclusion to Adams’s dramatic journey to find love. The episode documented the lead’s final dates with the remaining contestants—Zac and Ivan Ben—followed by the last rose ceremony.

After Ben’s departure, Zac made the long walk to greet Adams, where she confirmed that he’s the last man standing. Just then, Zac got down on one knee and proposed to Adams with a Neil Lane engagement ring. (Surprise, surprise.)

The episode concluded with the happy couple pulling away in a cardboard taxi, complete with soda cans and a “Just engaged” sign.

Season 16 of The Bachelorette originally premiered in October 2020. (It was supposed to debut back in May, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.) Although Crawley was the intended lead, that all changed when she became infatuated with one contestant, Dale Moss, and left the show as an engaged woman. Shortly after her departure, ABC flew in Adams as the replacement, and the rest is history.

Wishing Adams and Zac all the best as they enter this next phase of their relationship.
