‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Luke Parker Speaks Out After Being Branded This Season’s Villain

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

If there is one major takeaway from episode four of The Bachelorette, it’s that Luke Parker is not used to splitting attention with 15 other guys.

Knowing that most viewers are cringing at Parker’s attempts to make Brown talk to him (and the interruptions!), the 24-year-old Bachelorette contestant decided to admit his mistakes. Parker recently spoke out about his new Bachelorette villain status on Instagram, sharing his thoughts on his actions and a cute pic of himself and Brown.

“I just want to address the elephant in the room here really quick,” he began in a lengthy caption.

He went on to explain that watching the show has been difficult for him because—news flash—he doesn’t come off looking so great.

“First I want you all to know how hard it has been for me to watch myself this season so far. Regardless of what is aired AND IF @alabamahannah and I are together or not my behavior in all situations has been and will continue to be exposed,” he wrote.

Parker admitted he’s approaching the experience as a chance for personal growth: “I have learned a lot and I am continuing to learn about my flaws as a man. I’m the first to admit I am far from perfect. This journey has giving me a great opportunity to grow and mature as a man, for that I am grateful.”

He then thanked his supporters (apparently there are some) for rooting him on as he learns how to have productive conversations.

“For those of you who are on this journey with me I am grateful for your support and hope you get to learn and grow from my mistakes with me!” he finished.

Still skeptical.
