An Impending Avocado Shortage Proves the End Is Nigh

Two words no one wants to hear: avocado shortage.

That’s what Reuters says we’re currently facing, thanks to a prolonged fuel shortage in Mexico. According to the report, the Mexican government has been trying to curb fuel theft, and the resulting shortage might leave farmers unable to ship 120,000 tons of crop to the U.S.

We’ve gotta say…the timing isn’t great, considering the Super Bowl is on February 3. And nothing says “sports” like chips and guac.

Might we suggest a different dip? (You know, just in case.)
