So why is this suspicious? Murphy only follows one other person on IG, his husband (and no, Grande hasn’t yet followed him back). Hmm...
The theory may not be far off. The former Nickelodeon star previously appeared on Murphy’s FOX show Scream Queens back in 2015. Then, fans again rejoiced when Grande was in talks to appear in his Netflix movie musical, The Prom. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts prevented her from starring in the film, so maybe the new season of AHS is her way of making up for it?
The "7 Rings" singer has always been a big fan of the series, live-tweeting her favorite parts of previous seasons.
"She was just obsessed with American Horror Story like she was obsessed, so I think she just met me to ask questions about the new season to be honest!" Murphy said to E! in 2015.
This February, the Glee creator confirmed several names in the star-studded cast, including AHS newcomer: Macaulay Culkin. Since then, no further details have been revealed, but we’re sure Murphy has something fun up his sleeve.
"We’re working on an idea for season ten that I think people will love because it’s about reuniting fan-favorite actors to come back," he told Deadline. Could this be a reference to a Scream Queens fan favorite?
Neither Murphy nor Grande has provided confirmation, so we’ll just have to wait and see...
