I thought so, which is why I put the Tineco Pure One Station FurFree Smart Vacuum ($799; $679) to the test to see if it really lived up to its self-appointed title. Because in terms of vacuum cleaners, it ought to be really impressive for that regularly $799 price tag.

What Makes the Tineco Pure One Station the 'World's Smartest Upright Vacuum'?

The Tineco Pure One Station claims to be the world's most brilliant upright vacuum because it not only sucks up dirt and debris on various surfaces, but when it's returned to the OmniHub (its docking station), it detects its debris levels in real time, automatically self-cleans and fully recharges, so it's ready to go the next time you need it. It's basically a 4-in-1 device that requires minimal effort and almost no maintenance to keep your space squeaky clean. And yes, that includes hard-to-reach places like the top of your refrigerator and underneath your bedroom dresser thanks to its four included attachments, including the brand's ZeroTangle power brush, mini power brush, FurFree kit and 2-in-1 crevice dusting brush.

Among all the attachments, the ZeroTangle power brush easily steals the show. In addition to automatically detangling any long hairs it picks up (so clogging isn't an issue), it's equipped with an LED headlight that illuminates dirt and debris you can't see. When I took it for a spin for the first time, I was shocked to discover how dirty my floors were. Plus, you can use this baby on every surface, including carpets and upholstery, without having to manually adjust the suction power. My Thoughts on the Tineco Pure One Station

So I am a *huge* fan of the mini power brush and 2-in-1 crevice dusting tool, which converts the vacuum into a handheld that I can use to get into the nooks and crannies (like behind the toilet and underneath the sink). My hair sheds whenever I fix it every day, and these attachments help me tackle it in under a minute. No, seriously, I'm done in no time, which makes it the perfect tool for busy parents or someone with pets.

However, the main attraction of this intelligent vacuum is its docking station, which is as smart as it claims to be. Here's how it works: Once you're done using the device, return it to the OmniHub and prepare for it to automatically self-clean, charge and detect. You can literally sit back and watch it work its magic like I did in the video above. Who knew how satisfying it could be to see all the dirt you collected go into the dustbin? And guys, the self-cleaning feature cleans every part of the vacuum—the brush, the tube and the dustbin itself. This process is loud but usually quick, depending on how much debris it's holding. If you dock it every day, it'll be done in no time, but if, like me, you dock it only when it dies, it'll take a little bit longer. Either way, you'll only have to empty the dustbin every 60 days, which I cannot complain about.
