Unlike anything else on the market, the Roomba combo j7+ robot vacuum and mop is the first fully hands-free vacuum and mop robot that automatically lifts the mop pad up and away to the top of the robot, preventing wet messes. It includes a four-stage cleaning system—which includes an edge-sweeping brush, dual multi-surface rubber brushes and power-lifting suction—along with a powerful suction mop with self-dispensing features. However, perhaps the most innovative feature of this new addition is its advanced sensor technology, which can detect various floor types. Basically, when the robot approaches carpets and area rugs, its fully retractable mop arms lift the wet pad to the top of the robot (kind of like how a convertible raises its roof) preventing wet messes. What’s more, users can customize their Roomba's cleaning jobs in the iRobot Home app and choose which rooms should be vacuumed and mopped, or vacuumed/mopped only, and adjust the amount of cleaning solution they want the mop to dispense.
Aside from its first-of-its-kind motion sensors, the robot can also recognize more than 80 common objects, allowing it to clean specific places on command (like around litter boxes, floor lamps or toilet bowls). The device can also detect and avoid floor hazards (like cords and clothes) and it even features Alexa voice compatibility where you can simply tell the robot to clean specific rooms or zones in your home. Plus, it comes with an automatic dirt disposal system that allows the Roomba to empty the dirt and debris it collects into an enclosed bag that doesn't need to be replaced for up to 60 days. The robot also senses when the mop pad is attached and the mopping solution tank is full, and then goes into mopping mode automatically.
Ready to ditch your cord-stick vacuum? Same. The Roomba combo j7+ robot vacuum and mop is available for pre-order now and shipping starts on October 4 (but we recommend you snag this baby up before it inevitably goes out of stock).
