Disney Just Shared Its Iconic Theme Park Churro Recipe, so You Can Make Them at Home

In normal times, we’d probably be sharing the latest sensational treat unveiled by the folks at Disney World or Disneyland, but alas, the parks are temporarily closed. So to tide everyone over until the day we’ll be able to stand in mile-long lines waiting for Dole Whip, Disney has released its iconic churro recipe into the wild.

Thanks to the Disney Parks Blog, you can now make enough crispy, sweet, deep-fried churros for four people in your own kitchen (if you want to share). Luckily, the ingredients are simple and you probably already have them in your pantry: flour, eggs, sugar, butter, salt, cinnamon and oil for frying. This is your chance to show up everyone who’s been baking sourdough bread on your social media feed.

Of course, it’s not quite the same as biting into a piping hot churro while sweating in the sun at a park filled with kids and their saintly parents, but you can enhance the effect by pairing your homemade churros with our recipe for a simple chocolate dipping sauce. Turn on a virtual Disneyland parade for your viewing pleasure and you’ll be good to go. Or you could watch Frozen 2 for the umpteenth time. It’s your choice.

And FYI, Disney also just gave us a way to make that beloved Dole Whip at home. Go forth and treat yourself.
