It’s fall, and that’s code for bring on the comfort food. Case in point: Mac and cheese. Here's a super-easy way to boost the creamy taste.

What you need: The basic ingredients for your favorite mac and cheese recipe (this is ours), plus 4 cups of whole milk.

What you do: Instead of cooking your orecchiette noodles in water, toss 'em in a pot on the stove and bring them to a boil in the whole milk. From there, you can gradually stir in the cheese.

Why this works: As the natural starches in the pasta get released, they help thicken the sauce as it cooks. Then you can easily adjust the consistency to your liking based on the amount of cheese you add. Yummmm.
