Kerry Washington Sports '70s-Inspired Shirt Dress and Stilettos on Instagram

We've heard fall referred to as “sweater weather” and “pumpkin spice season,” but Kerry Washington has got a whole new name for these chilly, gourd-filled months: Leatha Weatha.

That's what the Scandal actress captioned her latest Instagram post, where she was seen sporting an espresso-colored shirt dress courtesy of Frame. The ‘70s-inspired leather gown is short-sleeved and includes a detachable tie across the waistline.

Washington's look was styled by Law Roach, while her makeup was done by Sheri Knight. In addition to the brown gown, Washington kept the all-leather theme going with some Vikki snake-embossed leather sandals from Schutz that feature stiletto heels and ankle-wrapped ties. She also added jewelry from Aurate New York.

Of course, it was hard to miss Washington's stunning braids, which were done by celebrity hairstylist Larri.

If these braids look familiar, it's because the Little Fires Everywhere actress was rocking a similar look in one of her other recent posts. In the photo, Washington was seen wearing a brown button-up dress and talking into a camera, which was filming a close-up shot of her. In the caption, she simply said, “Worked on something sneaky today.”

While we're not sure what Washington is up to, we're obsessed with the fashion that's involved with this secret project. In the comments of her latest post, fellow celebs showed their love for the look, like Drew Barrymore, who said, “Oh my god I love you and that hair. Everything!!!!!” Mariah Carey commented, “Queen,” and Austin Channing Brown said, “You are now my fall aesthetic.”
