Gabrielle Union Turns Her Backyard Into a Runway While Wearing a Stunning Black Suit

Gabrielle Union is having her very own fashion week...from the comfort of her backyard.

The multi-talented actress has spent the last 24 hours sharing photos and videos of herself in a stunning outfit from Australian designer, Dion Lee. In a recent TikTok video, Union catwalks down the path of her backyard, with a caption that says: “Oh hey there #Walk #fashionweek #BlackandProud.”

Union’s look features a black, two-piece suit from Dion Lee, layered over a leather bra top. The richness of the outfit is all in the details, like the gold chain waistband on the pants that coordinates perfectly with her Valentino clutch. Union’s makeup was done by Tasha Reiko Brown, braids by Larri, styling by Thomas Christos Kikis, and jewelry by K Kane and David Yurman.

The designer, Dion Lee, is an Australian artist whose brand “marries innovative construction, with a consciousness of the female form.” In an interview with Document Journal, Lee said that his designs are “coming from this language of garters, hosiery, and women’s underwear construction,” but he also says, “I don’t think we need [gender] to be fixed, especially in terms of products anymore.”

Union—who’s been spending her quarantine twinning with her daughter, releasing books and planning new films—is absolutely stunning in this look, but she tried to play it cool on her Instagram, where she wrote: “Light lift.”

If Union wants to give us more looks like this, then we say: Bring. It. On.
