Netflix Releases Trailer for New Must-Watch Superhero Series ‘Zero’

Netflix just dropped the first official trailer for Zero, and it looks like a cross between Jupiter’s Legacy and Umbrella Academy.

The streaming service debuted a first glimpse of the upcoming series, which takes place in Milan, Italy.

The trailer introduces viewers to the titular character (Giuseppe Dave Seke), a shy second-generation Italian man who’s often misunderstood by his peers but possesses an extraordinary superpower: invisibility. Despite his inexperience as a “superhero,” Zero must assume his new role as he tries to save his Milan suburb from succumbing to danger.

In addition to Seke, the movie also stars Haroun Fall and Beatrice Grannò. Writer Antonio Dikele Distefano previously discussed Zero and revealed that it was inspired by his own life story.

“The idea of Zero comes from my need to put different stories together in order to tell one,” he said. “The story of a special boy, of a Black guy, who, thanks to his superpower, manages to see the reality behind the appearance of things, people and relationships. Rap will be one of the protagonists of the story because rap is the language of our age, it is capable of describing environments that people do not see, such as the Milan suburbs where the series is set, and it is my language.”

The best part? The wait is almost over, since season one of Zero will hit Netflix on April 21.
