Who Is Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg? We Have Answers

She’s the fourth child and the only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. Princess Alexandra has four brothers, Prince Guillaume (38), Prince Félix (35), Prince Louis (33) and Prince Sébastien (27), who is single (may the odds be ever in your favor, ladies). 

Princess Alexandra is currently fifth in line to the throne, though it’s doubtful she’ll ever become queen. Not only does she stand behind three of her older brothers, but their children will also bump her down in the line of succession.

Prince Guillaume is currently expecting his first child with his wife, Princess Stephanie, so it’s only a matter of time before Princess Alexandra gets knocked down in the ranking. (Not that we love her any less.)

In 2009, the royal graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts and literature from Lycée Vauban in Luxembourg. After studying psychology and social sciences in the United States, she moved to Paris and obtained another bachelor’s degree in philosophy, with a concentration in ethics and anthropology.

But wait, there’s more. In 2017, Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg received a master’s degree in interfaith studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics. Phew, that’s a lot of degrees.

Yes, but only when her schedule permits. Since she was involved with schoolwork throughout her early 20s, the princess just recently started attending more official outings with the Grand Ducal Family, like when she joined the state visit to Japan in November 2017. Oh, to be royal. 

She fluently speaks four languages: Luxembourgish, French, English and Spanish. The princess is also well-versed in German and Italian. NBD.
