Netflix Just Renewed ‘Heartstopper’ for Two More Seasons

It’s time to celebrate, Narlie shippers!

We’ll be seeing our favorite couple, Charlie and Nick, a lot more because Netflix just confirmed Heartstopper is returning for not one, but *two* more seasons. The streaming service announced the news on its official Twitter page earlier today.

Alongside a snapshot of the main cast, the caption read: “To those who have fallen in love with Nick & Charlie, cried watching Alice Oseman’s magical story brought to life, or felt represented for the first time on-screen, I am elated to announce… Heartstopper has been renewed for TWO MORE SEASONS!”

Based on the webtoon by Alice Oseman, Heartstopper follows two high school friends named Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor). But, they soon discover there might be more between them. The teen drama became an instant hit amongst viewers—even earning a whopping 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Oseman released a public statement about the news and expressed her excitement about the continuation of the Heartstopper television series. “We were overjoyed with the global reaction to Heartstopper and can’t wait to continue the story with two more seasons.”

She continued, “I hope that it just makes people smile and brightens their day—but I also hope that it inspires, particularly, young queer people to believe that they can find happiness and find romance and find friendship.”

Bring on the cute Narlie moments.
