Mila Kunis’s Past Comes Back to Haunt Her in the Official Trailer for Netflix’s Thriller ‘Luckiest Girl Alive’

Mila Kunis fights to keep her dark past a secret in the new trailer for the Netflix thriller, Luckiest Girl Alive

Earlier this week, the streaming service released the first official trailer for the upcoming mystery thriller film. Based on Jessica Knoll’s 2015 bestselling debut novel of the same name, the flick features Kunis playing a woman named Ani FaNelli. Ani appears to have it all, from becoming the new editor of The New York Times to her wedding with fiancé, Luke (Finn Wittrock).

But, her perfect life is soon threatened when a true crime documentary crew interviews her about a violent attack that occurred at her high school.

“I am this close to the life no one thought I deserved,” Kunis says in the trailer. “I’ve carried this horrible thing with me alone for years, and it has built up this rage inside of me. I don't know what's me and what part I’ve invented.”

While Ali attempts to keep her dark secrets from the past, the truth threatens to break the surface.

Alongside Kunis and Wittock, the ensemble cast will include Chiara Aurelia (Cruel Summer), Scoot McNairy (Narcos: Mexico), Thomas Barbusca (The Mick), Justine Lupe (Succession), Dalmar Abuzeid (Faith Heist), Alex Barone (Dopesick), Carson MacCormac (Giant Little Ones), Jennifer Beals (Flashdance) and Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights). In addition, Mike Barker (The Handmaid's Tale) is set to direct the film.
