Jordan Peele Wants to Create More Stories About ‘Nope’ Characters

Jordan Peele may be looking to expand the Nope universe.

In an exclusive interview with The New York Times, the horror director teased the possibility of a Nope sequel in the future. It all started when interviewer Mekado Murphy asked Peele if there will be another movie and referenced a rumor that began earlier this year, when fans noticed that a new character, labeled “Nobody” (played by Michael Busch), was added to IMDb.

Peele addressed the fan theories surrounding the character, saying, “People are doing a lot of interesting detective work, is what’s going on...The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that.”

He continued, “Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I do think they will get more answers on some of these things in the future. We’re not over telling all of these stories.”

Nope follows two siblings named Emerald (Keke Palmer) and Otis “OJ” Haywood Jr. (Daniel Kaluuya), who attempt to capture the first-ever picture of a presumed UFO and sell it for profit. The ensemble cast includes Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott and Brandon Perea.

Honestly, we love the idea of multiple Nope sequels.
